Frank Rescigna has been named to the new position of
chairman of the Viva International Group. Mitch Barkley, a
20-year veteran of Viva, who is currently president and CEO,
will continue in his present role until the end of the year,
after which Rescigna will become president and CEO. Rescigna
has 30 years of experience in the optical industry. He was
most recently president of 1-800-CLIP-ONS and prior to that
served as president and CEO of Marcolin USA and vice
president of sales at Charmant.

Don Oakley has been named vice president of Ophthalmic
Supply Chain and Services for VSP® Vision Care. Oakley
joined VSP in 2006 to focus on supplier development
strategy, bringing 30 years of experience in sales,
marketing, and operations management to the organization.
Oakley's ophthalmic industry experience included serving as
senior vice president of operations at Essilor Laboratories
of America, Inc.

Amy Moore has been appointed as the new Product Director at
Kenmark Group. She will be responsible for overseeing the
concepts, design and development of product and
merchandising materials for several collections at Kenmark.
Moore joins from Colors In Optics, where she was the Design
Director/Product Development. Prior to that, Moore was the
Associate Director of Product Development at B. Robinson
Optical.

Bob Jones has been appointed to the position of National
Optical Sales Manager for Live Eyewear. Jones will focus
primarily on developing and supporting Live Eyewear's key
accounts in the optical market placeto ensure they are
reaching their full potential in the OveRx category, and he
will be based of the company's San Luis Obispo, California
headquarters.

global regulatory affairs. In his new position, DeRisio will
oversee development and execution of worldwide regulatory
strategies for the company's new and existing products. Most
recently, DeRisio was vice president, global regulatory
affairs, at Kinetic Concepts, a medical technology company. |

Christopher A. Holden will join the company as president and
CEO, effective Oct. 1. His appointment completes an
extensive search for a successor to Ken P. McDonald, the
company's current president and CEO. Holden is a healthcare
industry veteran of more than 21 years, engaged during most
of his career directly in multi-facility and multi-market
healthcare management. |
Framescape
Marc Sandford has been appointed vice president of sales for
Framescape. He will also continue his role as vice president
of product development. Sandford began his career in the
eyewear industry at Revo, and moved on to Maui Jim Northeast
as vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to entering
the sunwear market, Sandford was one of the early developers
of the Moray Boogie Board.
SUNY College of Optometry

Richard Soden, OD, has been named vice president for
clinical affairs at the SUNY College of Optometry. He will
oversee the operations of the University Optometric Center.
Soden, who has 25 years' experience in clinical practice and
optometric education, is a 1979 graduate of the college. He
has been associate chief of optometry service at the VA
Medical Center in Northport, NY, and has a private practice
in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY. |
SynergEyes
Contact-lens manufacturer SynergEyes recently appointed
Garry Edwards, OD, its vice president of clinical affairs.
In the new role he is responsible for all clinical endeavors
at SynergEyes. Edwards, who has more than 25 years'
experience in healthcare, was a founder of Specialty
UltraVision. |
