Essilor Labs Announces Grand Opening
Of Crizal Alizé /TD2 Technologies Center

Duffens Optical Now Producing Crizal

DALLAS – Essilor Laboratories of America, Inc. (ELOA) announces the grand opening of the Crizal® Alizé®/TD2® Technologies Center at Duffens Optical on December 8, 2007. The new Center, located in Denver, Colorado, is the Rocky Mountain Region’s largest capacity anti-reflective lens facility and offers the most technologically advanced products and services.

Crizal products are industry-leading, anti-reflective lenses from Essilor that reduce glare and protect from scratches, smudges, dust and dirt. Four products make up the Crizal family: Crizal®, Crizal Alizé, Crizal Alizé with Clear Guard™ and now Crizal Sun™ lenses. Crizal Alizé with Clear Guard has unparalleled durability, superior cleanability and smudge resistance that provides wearers the clearest vision possible.

With an unmatched hydrophobic coating, Crizal Alizé with Clear Guard allows water and oil to simply roll off, minimizing the need for cleaning. In addition, it has incorporated the same technology used in plasma televisions to add an integrated anti-particulate layer into the AR process. The result is a superior antireflective lens that stays cleaner, longer than any other AR coating, is easier to clean, and because of less cleaning, the lens is less likely to scratch. With the proprietary Pad Control System™, Crizal lenses are also the easiest premium AR to edge.

“We are delighted to add state-of-the-art Crizal manufacturing technology at Duffens Optical,” said Ron Schlotzhauer, regional ELOA vice president. “The Center is the region’s largest and exclusive manufacturer of Crizal Alizé with ClearGuard. Since 1919, Duffens Optical has focused on the needs of independent eyecare professionals. We are committed to providing the best premium products, laboratory lens processing technologies, and superior service to our customers and their patients.”
