Introduces Varilux Comfort 360

Essilor of America, Inc., the leading
manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses, announces Varilux Comfort
360º™ lenses now available in Thin&Lite® 1.67 and
Thin&Lite® 1.60 high-index material. These all-new lens
offerings will also be attainable with Crizal Avancé™
with Scotchgard™ Protector, the AR lens made to stay
clean.

Varilux Comfort 360º lenses in Thin&Lite
1.67 and Thin&Lite 1.60 will offer wearers greater
comfort and performance in a thinner and lighter lens.
Thin&Lite 1.67 lenses are up to 34 percent thinner and
32 percent lighter than 1.50 plastic lenses and up to three
times flatter than 1.50 plastic lenses for myopes. Easy to
mount and edge, Thin&Lite 1.60 lenses are up to 30
percent thinner and 20 percent lighter that 1.50 plastic
lenses.
Last fall, Essilor updated Varilux
Comfort®, the best selling progressive lens worldwide, with
the ground breaking 360º Digital Surfacingsm process—giving
patients even sharper vision with wider fields. The all-new
Varilux Comfort 360° lens design delivers the gold standard
for patient adaptation and ease of fitting for which Varilux
Comfort has been known.
In January 2008, Essilor debuted the
all-new, state-of-the-art Crizal Avancé with Scotchgard
Protector lens, a partnership with 3M Company, at the
company's national sales meeting. Combining the
industry-leading anti-reflective durability and ease of
cleaning benefits of Crizal Alizé with Clearguard™ lenses
and the unmatched protective qualities of Scotchgard
Protector, Crizal Avance? with Scotchgard Protector lenses
offer patients the best available performance.
Beginning Feb. 19, 2008, Essilor is proud
to offer ECPs and their patients Varilux Comfort 360º
lenses in Thin&Lite® 1.67 and Thin&Lite 1.60
available with Crizal Avancé with Scotchgard Protector in
