The retro inspired LACOSTE models 12025
and 12026 are made of CFX (flexible memory metal). The
advantage of using this material in the temples of these
styles is the comfort provided due to the “flexibility”
of the frame. For in-store presentation, a special display
and a unique “3 ball anniversary logo” which represents
the sport elegance of the brand has been applied. The
original crocodile logo created in 1927 is a featured
element on the back of the display. The LA12025 (pictured)

Flex titanium and titanium frames are
MUST have items for your dispensary. They are especially
great for kids, those with active lifestyles, and numerous
folks who request the most lightweight frames. Your patients
will feel like they aren’t even wearing their glasses.
TYPES OF TITANIUM
Essentially, there are three types of titanium used in
eyewear frames: pure, beta, and memory metal. As pure
titanium frames were popular when the metal first hit the
eyewear marketplace, beta titanium and memory metal
materials are currently very popular.
Beta Titanium
An alloy of predominantly titanium, beta also has
diminutive amounts of vanadium and aluminum. Beta titanium
is strong, durable, flexible, lightweight, anti-corrosive,
and hypoallergenic–all of which are characteristics that
patients will seek. Many manufacturers use beta titanium for
the temples and bridge portions of a frame and monel for the
remaining parts. This gives the frame elasticity while still
being able to hold an adjustment.
Memory Metal
This titanium alloy is composed of approximately 50%
titanium and 50% nickel. Memory metal can be twisted and
bent with no breaking and then returned to its original
form. It usually doesn’t require as much maintenance as
regular frames.
