Hubert Sagnieres
|
Essilor International’s board of directors has
appointed Hubert Sagnieres as chief operating officer,
to serve alongside Xavier Fontanet, chief executive
officer, and Philippe Alfroid, chief operating
officer. He was appointed president of Essilor Canada
in 1991, president of Essilor Laboratories of America
in 1997, and then president of Essilor of America.
Since 2006, he has been president of the North
American and Europe regions, a position that he will
continue to hold in addition to his new
responsibilities. |
Luxottica Group

Jan Cory
|
Jan Cory has been appointed to the position of Vice
President, Sales, Independents (3 O’s and Sun
Specialty) for the Luxottica Group. She will assume
responsibility for the management of the Independents
sales force, including over 300 sales consultants and
15 regional managers. Cory succeeds Rich Makover, who
served as VP Sales for the professional optical
division since 2006. |

Greg Marko
|
Transitions Optical, Inc. has appointed
Greg Marko,
formerly business manager, channel marketing and
communications, Transitions, to the role of director,
North America marketing. Marko is replacing Grady
Lenski, who was recently appointed to the newly
created role of director, Transitions Sunwear. Marko
joined Transitions Optical in 2000 as North America
market analyst, and subsequently held several
management positions on the North America Marketing
team.

Dave Delle Donne
|
Dave Delle Donne has rejoined Carl Zeiss Vision in
the position of vice president, business development
for the professional channel. In this role, Delle
Donne will have responsibility for Rx and wholesale
sales activities, channel marketing, professional
affairs and sales training. A 20-year optical industry
veteran, Delle Donne served as chief executive
officer of Optical Distribution Corp., the U.S.
distributor of the Rodenstock brand.

Roland Sitzler
|
HOYA Vision Care, North America, has named
Roland
Sitzler regional sales director in the company’s
northeast region. Sitzler has 30 years of experience
in the optical industry. In 1985 he began a 23-year
career with Carl Zeiss. Most recently he served as
national sales director, equipment, with Carl Zeiss
Vision.

Carla Mack
|
Bausch & Lomb has named Carla
Mack, OD, its
director, medical affairs, global vision care. In this
newly created position, Mack will contribute to
internal and external clinical research, integrated
education for eyecare practitioners and support for
eyecare organizations and academic institutions. Mack
joined Bausch & Lomb from The Ohio State
University College of Optometry.

James Eisen
|
James Eisen will become ECCA’s chief operating
officer as of Oct. 1. Eisen will replace James
Denny,
who is resigning as COO and president, at which time
he will retire. In other news, George Gebhardt,
currently the chain’s executive vice president of
merchandising, will become ECCA’s chief merchandising officer. Eisen is a former vice
president of store operations for Luxottica Licensed
Brands. Most recently, he was senior VP of stores with
national fabric and crafts retailer Jo-Ann Stores.
Gebhardt has been ECCA’s executive VP of
merchandising since September 1996; he assumed
additional responsibilities for managed vision care in
2004.

Kelly Kerksick
|
Vision Source, LP has added four executives to its
management team. Kelly Kerksick, OD, has been named
director of professional services. Kerksick is a
practicing optometrist in Columbia, Ill. and member of
the Vision Source network. Jason Morris, OD, has been
named general manager of Vision Source Canada. A 1994
graduate from the School of Optometry at the
University of Waterloo, Morris will spearhead Vision
Source’s growth in Canada.
