Roberto Vedovotto
|
Safilo Group’s board of directors has appointed
Roberto Vedovotto as the company’s new chief
executive officer. In addition, Claudio Gottardi has
resigned as a member of the group's board of
directors, while maintaining his position as CEO of
Safilo USA. Massimiliano Tabacchi has assumed the
position of Safilo Group's executive vice chairman,
and will continue to supervise the group and oversee
its strategic direction. Vedovotto was CEO of Safilo
Group from 2002 to 2006 and oversaw the financial
restructuring of the group and its successive listing
on the Italian Stock Market. |

director, external affairs. In this role, Falvo will

Brian Hauser, former director, lens manufacturers,
will take on an expanded role of director, lens
manufacturer and trade channel sales. In this new
position, Hauser will focus on working with the sales
team to meet customer goals and ensure that
opportunities for synergies between groups are

Alex Louw

Alex Louw, former director, national retail, will
assume the new role of director, national retail and
Canada. In this position, Louw’s responsibilities
will be extended to include driving sales and
strategic marketing initiatives across all channels in
Canada. |

Tom Davis
|
Davis Vision, Inc has named Tom Davis executive
vice president and chief marketing officer. In this
new position, Mr. Davis will be responsible for all
sales and marketing activities, including new regional
marketing strategies. Mr. Davis was the founding
president of the National Association of Vision Care
Plans (NAVCP) in 2003, and served as a board member of
the organization from 2003 to 2007, and as vice
president of marketing from 2004 to 2007. |

Peg Achenbach, O.D., has joined the VISTAKON®
Professional Development Group as Senior Director,
Professional & Medical Affairs. In this role, Dr.
Achenbach will lead the company’s Medical Affairs
group and also will direct the team at The Vision Care
Institute™, LLC, a Johnson & Johnson Company.
Prior to joining Vistakon, Dr. Achenbach was vice
president of Medical Operations for SDR
Pharmaceuticals, Inc., in Andover, New Jersey. |

Chris Bailey has been promoted to Director of
Marketing and Product Management at KBco, The
Polarized Lens Company. In his new role, Chris
will add Product Management to his Marketing
responsibilities. He has been with KBco for 10 years
in a variety of roles. His most recent position was
Marketing Manager. |

David Ray
|
David Ray has also joined the company as
Vice-President of Sales, to manage growth and maximize
future expansion opportunities. David will assume
responsibility for all domestic sales activity. He
joins KBco from Essilor where he was Director of
Retail Sales, working with key accounts such as
Costco, Wal-Mart and ECCA for the past four years. |

Robert L. Caulk
|
Blake Lipham has been named president of Bushnell
Outdoor Products, in addition to his current role as
chief financial officer. The company's board has also
named current director Robert L. Caulk its chairman.
Prior to joining Bushnell in 2007, Lipham spent three
years as the COO/CFO of Union Corrugating Company and
five years as the CFO of Home Depot Installed
Products. |
In addition to serving on the Bushnell board,
Robert L. Caulk has more than 30 years in corporate
management. From 1999 through 2005, he served as
chairman and CEO of United Industries Corporation, a
$1 billion private equity-backed consumer products
company. He has also held senior executive positions
at Clopay Building Products Company, Johnson Outdoors,
and S.C. Johnson & Son.
