Don Yee – former chief
executive officer of the VSP family of companies
and founding president of VSP’s Eyefinity
Internet portal – has been named president of
OptumHealth’s vision business, which provides
vision benefits to over 18 million individuals.
In his new role, Yee will be
responsible for the overall growth, leadership
and direction of the vision business, including
its optical lab and retail businesses, key
market initiatives, new solution launches and
industry leading delivery of services.

David W. Parke
|
David W. Parke II, MD, will take
over next April as the Academy’s executive vice
president and chief executive officer. Parke will
succeed H. Dunbar Hoskins Jr., MD, who has led the
Academy since 1993 and is retiring. Parke, who has
served on the Academy’s board of trustees since 2000
and is the 2008 Academy president, is president and
CEO of the Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City.
He is also professor and chair of the department of
ophthalmology at the University of Oklahoma College of
Medicine. |

Susan Roberts

Bausch & Lomb has elected Susan
A. Roberts as a corporate vice president. She is the
company’s chief compliance officer, having been
named to this post in 2006, and heads the global
pharmacovigilance and safety surveillance groups. Ms.
Roberts joined Bausch & Lomb in 1995 after several
years in private practice as a trial lawyer at Harter,
Secrest & Emery. She then held positions of
increasing responsibility in the Bausch & Lomb Law
department, including serving as vice president and
assistant general counsel. |

Pfleging as President and Wanda Crawford as Vice
President of Finance for the company. Both Pfleging
and Crawford bring extensive experience from within
the optical equipment industry. In addition, John

Vic Connors, O.D. as CEO of the global fundraising
organization in the United States. Dr. Connors will
remain as Chair of the National Committee in the
United States and as a member of Optometry Giving
Sight’s Global Board. He is the Immediate Past
President of the World Council of Optometry; and is a
Past President of the AOA and the Wisconsin Optometric
Association. |

appointment of Michael Celebrezze as chief financial
officer on a permanent basis. Celebrezze, LCA-Vision’s
interim CFO since June, was appointed to the company’s
executive management team as senior vice president of
finance and treasurer in July 2007; he joined the
company a year earlier. |

Davis Vision has named Terence Ward
its divisional vice president of sales, south
division. In this new position, based in Atlanta, Ward
is responsible for new-business development in the
southern U.S. Tom Iachetta has also been named to the
new position of vice president of administration at
Davis Vision’s Latham, N.Y., customer relationship
and information technology center. Iachetta has been
with Davis Vision since 2003, most recently as VP of
customer service. |
Live Eyewear

Kieran Hardy

Live Eyewear, Inc. has announced
the purchase of the privately held corporation by the
company’s President, Kieran Hardy. The transaction
was completed in early December; terms of the sale
were not disclosed.
The California based eyewear
manufacturer has been under the direction of Kieran
Hardy since the company’s inception in late 2001.
Live Eyewear’s executive team and the company’s
core focus will remain unchanged under the new
ownership. |
